I’m standing here cooking a recipe from this book and just realised that this was probably one of the first books I bought that hadn’t been published for the Australian market.
While the book was published in 1975 I wouldn’t have bought it until some time after 1981 – my first year away from home and in need of some good recipes.
I’m not going to photograph the pages that I’ve obviously used a lot, I’ll leave you to imagine what they look like. But clearly back-in-the-day I made lots of Fresh Pea Soup, Potato Soup, Pumpkin Soup, Tomato Soup, and today’s late lunch French Onion Soup.
Clearly I’m feeling the arrival of winter way down here in Tasmania.
